A “one-stop-shop” Dealership

The Brief
The Junction 16 Royal Wootton Bassett development represents an important expansion of Dick Lovett’s presence in the region. This ambitious project was conceived to create a combined BMW and MINI showroom alongside a modern Bodyshop, bringing sales, servicing, and repair together on one site. The goal is to provide a complete, “one-stop-shop” experience that enhances customer convenience and strengthens the company’s automotive offering in Swindon.
The client’s vision focused on combining premium automotive retail design with sustainability and operational efficiency. The new Junction 16 site was to embody the brand’s values of innovation, quality, and customer service excellence, all while respecting its rural setting. Integrating green architecture and sustainable materials was key to ensuring the development blended harmoniously into the surrounding landscape.
The Work
Our team designed a state-of-the-art facility that merges form and function seamlessly. The site brings together the BMW and MINI showrooms with the Bodyshop in a cohesive layout that improves accessibility, customer flow, and operational efficiency.
Every design decision prioritised comfort, sustainability, and efficiency. The buildings feature sweeping green roofs that help integrate the structure into the countryside, complemented by landscaped areas filled with native trees, hedgerows, and shrubs to enhance biodiversity. Energy-efficient systems and natural lighting reduce environmental impact while creating an inviting atmosphere for both staff and customers.
Through this innovative design approach, this development sets a new benchmark for modern automotive facilities, combining cutting-edge technology, environmental awareness, and exceptional customer care.
